Websphere Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert-level operational support for WebSphere environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Lead and coordinate incident, problem, and change management processes for middleware platforms.
• Collaborate with infrastructure providers, architects, and vendors to design and implement robust middleware solutions.
• Build, maintain, and optimize WebSphere Application Server environments (including ND and Liberty profiles).
• Drive automation initiatives using tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and Git to improve platform deployment and configuration.
• Serve as a technical liaison between internal customers and external service providers.

Key Skills/Experiences:

• 10+ years’ experience in managing IBM Websphere (WAS traditional BASE and Liberty v20> (Core, Base )
• Apache Tomcat
• Java based applications
• TLS/SSL
• Extensive experience in Red Hat Linux, scripting, pipeline and networking technology
• Monitoring JVM performance
• Experience in Terraform, Ansible Tower, Java, CaaS, ServiceNow etc
• Familiar with processes like security, Agile way of working, ITIL, Continuous deployment, Disaster Recovery
