Responsibility:
🔧 Operations Engineering Responsibilities:
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize systems and infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot system incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes to prevent recurrence.
- Automate operational processes using scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Participate in the deployment, scaling, and configuration of infrastructure (on-prem or cloud-based).
- Collaborate with development, IT, and QA teams to support and streamline CI/CD pipelines.
- Set up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
- Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and SOPs.
🛡️ Business Continuity Responsibilities (Minimum 1 Year Experience Required):
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) plans.
- Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses.
- Participate in BCP/DR testing and incident response drills.
- Ensure systems and infrastructure are aligned with business continuity policies.
- Support compliance with relevant security, governance, and continuity standards (ISO 22301, etc.).
Skills Required:
- You have 5 years’ experience as a resiliency engineer or were previously a security engineer, OPS engineer or Architect.
- Knowledge of ITIL or similar operational frameworks is a plus.
- You have (at least) a strong interest in the Resiliency domain or can give a clear overview of resiliency expectations and challenges to stakeholders.
- Can review / validate the architecture and technical diagrams on resiliency topics.
- Hands on experience in one or multiple of the following domains:
Windows
Linux
Mainframe
Cloud
Application development
Databases
Middleware
Nice to Have
- Certifications such as CBCI, ISO 22301, or related BC/DR certifications.
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with incident management platforms (e.g., PagerDuty, Opsgenie).
