About the role :

INNO is urgently looking for an experienced Interim Category Manager to join our team for a 3 month assignment at 4 days per week. The right candidate must be immediately available to step into the role, take ownership of a strategic category (accessories, luggage, leather, shoes, intimates), lead a team of assistants, and deliver strong results in a dynamic retail environment.


Your Mission

As Interim Category Manager, you will:

  • Define and execute category strategies to drive sales, margin, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire a team of assistants to deliver operational excellence.
  • Analyze customer insights, sales data, and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and build strong, long-term partnerships.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales to deliver impactful campaigns and promotions.
  • Continuously monitor performance and optimize assortment, pricing, and positioning.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in category management, buying, or merchandising (retail or FMCG is a plus).
  • Previous leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Languages: Fluent in French or Dutch and in English; strong command of the other national language is essential.
  • Technical skills: Perfect command of Excel; knowledge of an ERP such as SAP is a strong plus.
  • Availability: You must be immediately available to start.
