Our client, a leading company in the financial services sector, is looking for a Senior HR Specialist to join their Human Resources team in Brussels. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic, international environment where you can truly make an impact.


1. Payroll & Benefits Management πŸ“Š

Manage end-to-end payroll & benefits for one or more business groups in Belgium:

  • πŸ“₯ Collect & process monthly payroll data in Workday and eBlox
  • 🌍 Handle payroll for expatriates with external tax advisors & the Rewards team
  • πŸ‘€ Conduct 4-eyes checks on payroll input completed by peers
  • πŸ“„ Provide social documents (e.g., DRS, C4) to employees
  • πŸ₯ Coordinate with insurance providers for leaves (maternity, paternity, illness, etc.)
  • 🀝 Collaborate with the team to ensure timely & accurate payroll processing


2. Employee Support & Liaison 🀝

  • ❓ Be the go-to person for payroll, benefits, and social law queries
  • πŸ“Œ Keep intranet resources updated for employee reference


3. Projects πŸš€

  • πŸ’Ό Contribute to ad-hoc HR projects (e.g., early retirement programs, works council requests)


4. Social Legislation Expertise πŸ“š

  • πŸ’‘ Advise on payroll and social legislation matters
  • 🧾 Liaise with authorities (e.g., social security, unemployment offices)
  • 🧠 Stay informed & compliant with legal updates
  • πŸ”„ Recommend process improvements in line with evolving legislation


βœ… Skills & Qualifications

  • βœ”οΈ 10+ years of experience in payroll, consulting, or analysis
  • βœ”οΈ Fluency in French or Dutch, with strong knowledge of the other
  • βœ”οΈ Excellent English (spoken, written, and reading)
  • βœ”οΈ Mandatory knowledge of eBlox
  • βœ”οΈ Strong understanding of Belgian employment law (especially JC200)
  • βœ”οΈ Experience with Workday is a plus
  • βœ”οΈ Analytical & problem-solving mindset
  • βœ”οΈ Self-driven, proactive, and eager to learn
  • βœ”οΈ Excellent communication & time management skills
  • βœ”οΈ High levels of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
  • βœ”οΈ Detail-oriented with a customer service mindset and stress resilience
