We're looking for an experienced Staff Robotics Software Engineer with a track record of >10 years in robotics software development.
For this role, you are working at our main office in Leuven, Belgium.
For this job:
- The Staff robotics software engineer is a generalist robotics engineer that has been in the trenches many times and know what the priorities and working solutions are when solving robotics problems.
- You know how to apply and integrate software components to different kinds of assets or robotic platforms.
- You draw out and guard the software design at large - while staying in touch with the details you and your colleagues develop.
- You mentor senior engineers via design review and code review.
- You have the mindset of an engineer (The best part is no part, you know the drill....)

You’re bringing us:
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science or Robotics Engineering
- Fluent on Linux systems and an experienced C++ programmer and have Python knowledge
- 10 years of experience developing software architectures and algorithms on robotics
- You take ownership of a given mission and the tasks to achieve that mission
- You take initiative to identify and solve important problems, coordinating with others on cross-cutting technical issues
- Analytical mindset and eagerness to share and communicate
- You can work independently while being a team player with good reporting skills
- English Language proficiency (written & verbal)
