SAP HCM Technical Expert

📌 Senior SAP HCM & Fiori Technical Expert – Freelance

I’m partnering with a client who is looking for a Senior SAP HCM & Fiori Technical Expert to support, enhance, and further develop their HR application landscape. The role covers technical design, development, and optimisation across HR processes including Time, Payroll, ESS/MSS, and Fiori-based solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Translate functional needs into solid technical solutions and architectural designs
• Build, customise, and evolve SAP HR and Fiori applications across PA/OM, Time, and Payroll
• Deliver end-to-end enhancements, new features, integrations, and fixes
• Analyse issues, identify improvements, and drive technical best practices
• Coordinate release cycles for HR Fiori applications (scope, testing, rollout)
• Serve as a technical reference point for developers, analysts, and process leads
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR platforms, tools, and processes
• Independently lead small initiatives or development tracks

Core Experience:

• Strong background in SAP HCM (Time Management, Time Registration, PA/OM, PY exposure)
• Solid hands-on experience with Fiori/SAPUI5 development
• Proven knowledge of SAP interface technologies (OData, SOAP, REST, XML/JSON)
• Strong ABAP development skills (OO, Workbench, WebDynpro, Workflow, IDoc, ALV)
• Experience delivering enhancements in complex HR environments
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and stakeholder communication skills

Nice to have:

Experience with SAP Payroll configuration, Shift Planning, Workflow, architecture discussions, modern UI standards, governance frameworks, or leading/coaching others.
