As a freelance Data Platform Engineer, you'll help shape a next-generation Azure data ecosystem that powers real-time insights and innovation.

YOUR JOB

As a
Data Platform Engineer
, you'll join our strong LACO team at one of our clients in the
banking sector
. You'll help design, optimize, and enhance an enterprise-scale Azure Data Platform that supports critical business data flows and analytics needs.

Your responsibilities include:

• Supporting the
  re-design, optimization, and enhancement
  of a robust Azure Data Platform solution.
• Tuning Spark performance
  within Microsoft Synapse Analytics to efficiently handle high-volume and complex datasets.
• Collaborating with
  cross-functional Agile (Scrum) teams
  to deliver scalable and high-quality data structures.
• Implementing CI/CD pipelines
  using Azure DevOps to automate deployment and testing of data solutions.
• Setting up and managing
  fine-grained access controls
  for sensitive data.
• Contributing to the team's
  Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  practices — experience with
  Bicep
  is a strong plus.

YOUR SKILLS

• You have a
  Bachelor's or Master's degree
  in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• You have
  proven experience with Azure Data Platform components
  , such as Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, and Data Lake.
• You have hands-on experience with
  Spark
  and are familiar with
  performance optimization
  techniques.
• You are comfortable working with
  CI/CD pipelines
  in
  Azure DevOps
  .
• You understand and can implement
  access management and data governance
  best practices.
• You have knowledge of
  Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  — experience with
  Bicep
  is a plus.
• You are a
  team player
  , comfortable working in an
  Agile/Scrum
  environment.
• You are fluent in
  English
  ; knowledge of
  Dutch or French
  is a plus.
