Lead Legal Counsel

Robert Half Talent Solutions is looking for a Lead Legal Counsel (m/f/x) on behalf of one of its clients, a key player in the Fintech industry . Your Role:
Positioned at the intersection of international law and business, this role will see you reviewing and negotiating global contracts, leading compliance efforts (GDPR, DORA, international sanctions), and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. You will be instrumental in driving the company's legal strategy and contributing to its dynamic growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage and negotiate B2B contracts, including license and service agreements, across key regions such as Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa;
• Oversee compliance programs with a focus on GDPR, DORA, and international sanctions;
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and create actionable documentation to guide internal and external stakeholders;
• Develop and strengthen legal frameworks for innovative and existing solutions;
• Coordinate and actively contribute to cross-functional, high-level projects requiring legal expertise;
• Upon successful onboarding, take on a leadership role within the legal department.

What we're looking for:

• A law degree;
• At least 7 years of experience in international law in an in-house role or as a lawyer;
• Fluency in English (mandatory); proficiency in Spanish is a strong plus;
• Deep understanding of international contract law and compliance regulations;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
