Business Analyst - Sustainability Project (Antwerp)

We are currently looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join my client in Antwerp, Belgium. The successful candidate will be a real "doer" who plays a crucial role in a high-profile sustainability project for a well-known client, focusing on workflow optimization, data modelling, and visualization. This position will be compensated on a daily rate basis.

Key Responsibilities

Workflow Management

• Design, document, and implement efficient business workflows to streamline sustainability processes
• Identify bottlenecks and develop solutions to optimize operational flows
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure workflows align with project goals and requirements

Excel Expertise

• Create and maintain sophisticated Excel models to analyse sustainability data
• Develop complex spreadsheets utilizing advanced functions, pivot tables, and VBA
• Design automated reporting templates that process and present sustainability metrics
• Build dynamic dashboards that track key project indicators

Think Cell Visualization

• Produce high-impact presentations using Think Cell to communicate complex data
• Create professional charts, graphs, and visual aids for executive presentations
• Transform technical information into compelling visual stories for diverse stakeholders

Model Building

• Construct comprehensive analytical models to evaluate sustainability initiatives
• Develop scenario models to assess potential outcomes and impacts
• Create predictive models to forecast trends and identify opportunities
• Build simulation models to test process improvements before implementation

Process Mapping

• Lead detailed process mapping sessions with cross-functional teams
• Document current-state processes and design optimized future-state workflows
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
• Translate complex processes into clear visual documentation

Power BI Development

• Design and build interactive Power BI dashboards to visualize sustainability data
• Create custom measures and calculations to track performance metrics
• Develop automated reporting solutions that integrate multiple data sources
• Implement data refresh schedules and maintain dashboard functionality

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
• Expert-level Excel skills
• Proven experience with Think Cell for professional presentation development
• Strong background in building analytical models and conducting data analysis
• Advanced knowledge of process mapping methodologies and tools
• Proficiency in Power BI dashboard creation and data visualization
• Experience manipulating and analysing large, complex datasets
• Knowledge of sustainability concepts is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch/French is a plus
• Based in Antwerp or can get to the area
