Procurement Consultant – Generalist Buyer (M/F/X)

Context of the Mission:

As part of a
new procurement transformation project
, Meogroup is looking for a
Procurement Consultant
to join a
6-month assignment
within a
large international industrial group
.

This mission aims to
finalize the implementation of the procurement function
and
deploy the defined sourcing strategy
. The position offers long-term opportunities, and the contract is offered on a
permanent basis (CDI Meogroup)
.

Location:

• Primary assignment in
  Liège
• Potential missions in
  Brussels and within 1-hour driving range
• Partial remote work
  possible after onboarding period

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead
  supplier negotiations
  and implement
  framework agreements
• Ensure proper
  execution and monitoring
  of procurement contracts
• Support the rollout
  of the procurement function internally
• Evaluate
  supplier performance
  and contribute to performance reviews
• Provide structured
  procurement reporting
  to HQ
• Act as the
  internal point of contact
  for other departments adopting procurement practices

Expected Deliverables:

• Framework contracts aligned with
  market pricing
  and applied consistently
• Smooth adoption
  of the procurement process by operational teams
• Clear reporting and visibility on
  procurement KPIs and results

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 3 to 5 years of experience
  as a buyer, with at least one successful experience in a corporate procurement department
• Bachelor's in Supply Chain
  or
  Master's in Business Management
• Comfortable in
  industrial environments
• Strong
  soft skills
  to drive internal adoption and support change

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in
  ERP systems
• Knowledge of
  e-procurement platforms
  (Coupa, Ariba, Ivalua, Isybuy, etc.) is a
  strong asset
• Good understanding of
  procurement performance indicators
  and
  reporting tools

Languages:

• French
  : fluent
• English
  : professional working proficiency
• Dutch
  : a strong plus, but not mandatory
