As a Business Developer at MMB Belux, you will be responsible for generating new business by building strong and effective relationships with prospective customers in the Corporate sector. You will develop a comprehensive understanding of our service offerings, identify client requirements clearly, and demonstrate how our solutions meet their needs. Additionally, you will manage and grow existing accounts by leveraging up-sell and cross-sell opportunities to maximise profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and qualify prospect relationships, including identifying key contacts and analysing financial data.
  • Manage a robust prospect pipeline, maintain regular communication with prospects, and efficiently progress opportunities through the sales funnel.
  • Utilise MMC CRM software to manage the sales funnel and provide real-time visibility of pipeline and performance.
  • Conduct target market and industry research to identify new prospects and deepen industry knowledge to support sales activities.
  • Review and update databases to identify target portfolios and uncover market opportunities.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and innovative ways to streamline processes and drive growth.
  • Leverage marketing channels, buying groups, and association relationships to enhance prospecting efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Risk Management & Corporate Sales Leader to prioritise and identify prospects.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of proposals and presentations to prospects, articulating our understanding of specific risk issues and how our solutions address them.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of engagement with prospects in line with the Marsh operating model.

What You Need to Have:

  • Relevant experience in Business Development in the Insurance sector.
  • Strong business acumen with a well-rounded knowledge of general business functions including finance, management, and risk.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, selling, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work, multi-task, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Dutch/French/ English
