For a global industrial manufacturing group, we are supporting the search for a Director Purchasing In this role you will be responsible for further strengthening our global sourcing capabilities and elevating our sourcing professionalism, methodologies and tools to a best-in-class standard of cost excellence. You will lead and develop our worldwide sourcing organization, ensuring the consistent delivery of clearly defined global sourcing KPI's. You will combine strategic insight with disciplined execution, building strong and sustainable strategic partnerships that enhance our competitive position and create long-term value.
Your responsibilities:
• Lead the implementation of the sourcing team structure, processes, and tools, ensuring full alignment with the Group Sourcing policy.
• Shape and execute the sourcing strategy across all divisions, translating the Group Sourcing policy into practical and impactful initiatives.
• Strengthen and enhance the sourcing monitoring system for both plants and divisions, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely insights.
• Drive results in line with objectives set by the Executive Leadership Team, while continuously evaluating and refining the reporting structure to meet business goals.
• Contribute to optimizing working capital to maximize cash flow and support financial efficiency.
• Oversee Program Buying responsibilities to ensure project budgets are met, APQP process steps are completed, and SOP timelines are achieved.
• Collaborate closely with the Supply Chain organization to maximize overall supply performance and KPI's.
Your profile:
• A Master's degree in Engineering with a specialization in International Purchasing;
• Proven leadership with strong line management and team-building skills, inspiring teams to achieve their full potential;
• Deep sourcing expertise, with the ability to design robust processes and coach teams to deliver excellence.
• 10+ years of senior-level experience within the automotive sector or a comparable industry;
• International experience is a big plus, demonstrating the ability to operate effectively in a global business environment;
• Excellent Dutch and English language skills.
