Operations Efficiency Engineer

  • Contract Type: Temporary assignment

  • Location: Leuven
  • Working Model: Hybrid (minimum 3 days onsite per week)


Overview

We are looking for an Operations Efficiency Engineer to drive daily operational prioritisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

In this role, you will oversee the follow-up of critical production/operational lots, ensuring close alignment with programme management and the effective deployment of operational resources. You will combine strong analytical capability with hands-on coordination to optimise performance, mitigate risk, and improve overall operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities


Operational Prioritisation & Execution

  • Monitor and manage high-priority operational lots on a daily basis
  • Align with programme management to ensure accurate prioritisation
  • Coordinate resource allocation to meet delivery timelines and performance targets


Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Collect, structure, and analyse operational data to identify trends and performance gaps
  • Detect bottlenecks, risks, and inefficiencies
  • Develop clear dashboards and reports to support data-driven decision-making


Process Optimisation

  • Propose and implement measurable, data-driven process improvements
  • Streamline workflows, logistics flows, and internal operational processes
  • Apply structured improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement frameworks)


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with operations, supply chain, and programme stakeholders
  • Translate operational challenges into practical, scalable solutions
  • Present insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences


Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in operations, operational excellence, data analytics, or business intelligence
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex datasets and convert insights into action
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to drive initiatives through influence and structured follow-up
