Title: Senior Network Designer – Juniper SD-WAN & Multi-Cloud Integration

Location: South Brussels

Contract Type: Freelance

Duration: Until EOY with 12 month extensions following

We’re supporting a global financial services leader in Brussels with their strategic Juniper SD-WAN transformation program. This engagement involves detailed design and implementation across high-availability environments, cloud connectivity, and advanced routing protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Convert High-Level Architecture (HLA) into actionable Detailed Designs (DDs).
• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to validate and refine SD-WAN designs in lab/test environments.
• Assist operational and QA teams during deployment and integration phases.
• Lead the design and documentation of SSR-based SD-WAN solutions spanning on-prem hardware, VMware platforms, and cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Configure and optimize network protocols including BGP, ISIS, MPLS, Segment Routing.
• Architect high availability SSR clusters on both GCP and VMware.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong expertise in Juniper SD-WAN, Session Smart Routing (SSR), and SVR.
• Demonstrated experience with HA clustering, Conductor, and Mist.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP integrations.
• Experience with VMware-based deployments.
• Strong documentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Capable of working autonomously in high-demand environments.

Project Timeline Highlights:

• Architecture finalisation: Q2 2025
• Detailed design sign-off: Q3 2025
• Production rollout: Late 2025

Hybrid model: 2 days per week on-site in South Brussels area
