About the job:

Based in Mons, Belgium, you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our Information Technology services to support NATO’s Digital Transformation. You will join the NATO Digital Workplace Centre (NDWC), which is responsible for the Digital Workplace, covering operational NATO services, across all content classifications and security domains, for desktop computing, mail, instant messaging, video teleconference (VTC), content services platforms, telephony, printing and mobility services. NDWC responsibilities also cover the support of digital events, meetings and large-scale conferences for both the Agency and NATO stakeholders. NDWC also has the responsibility for driving the future roadmaps of these services across the NATO Enterprise to enable a NATO Digital Workplace through new services.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy voice and video based collaboration solutions for the V2 team in order to deliver the Voice and Video collaboration services in accordance with customer service agreements (SLA, SSP, etc.) across the customer and NATO AoR (including missions and exercises), ensuring the expected level of quality, security and support; across the different NATO network domains;
  • Plan, lead and monitor the implementation of the outsourcing and continuous service improvement initiatives;
  • Participate in projects by representing and proving governance, guidance and mentorship on the Audio Visual Service component of the project, as required, to enable successful execution and to enhance and improve the existing infrastructure and services ;
  • Accountable for the creation and maintenance of technical documentation (configuration baselines, standard operating procedures, network diagrams, etc.) used for continuous service improvement and service execution;
  • Mentor and/or coach other team members on new Voice and Video collaboration solutions.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 3 years post-related experience. Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCIA, that is, at least 10 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post;
  • Proven experience in the architecture, design and deployment of secured collaboration solutions following industry’s best practices;
  • Excellent analytical and listening skills to capture requirements and identify problems and risks;
  • Excellent communication skills to be able to explain complex topics to different audience types;
  • Excellent knowledge of signaling protocols used by collaboration solutions;
  • Good working knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies;
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • Willing to learn and develop new skills and share knowledge with the colleagues;
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
