Senior C#.NET Developer

Location: Belgium (Liège)

Contract: 6‑month external engagement (option for permanent)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior C#.NET Developer to join a growing development team working on both legacy and new applications. You will contribute to modernizing existing systems while supporting the development of new software solutions built using the latest .NET technologies. This role requires strong object‑oriented development skills, solid architectural understanding, and the ability to work in a collaborative Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in technical feasibility assessments and collaborate with functional analysts on solution design.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance in‑house applications using C#.NET, .NET Core, and related frameworks.
• Contribute to breaking down work into user stories and support Agile sprint planning.
• Ensure applications follow development standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
• Produce technical documentation to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.
• Integrate with APIs and legacy systems where required.
• Collaborate with architects, infrastructure, and QA teams to ensure quality delivery.
• Support continuous improvement of development processes and tooling.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–10 years of hands-on software development experience in C#.NET, .NET Core, and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with legacy environments such as Delphi or other older Object Pascal–based systems.
• Strong understanding of API development, integrations, and service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines, and SDLC best practices.
• Familiarity with Microsoft development tools and platforms (Jira, Git, SonarQube, Azure DevOps).
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Experience in financial services or insurance is a strong advantage.
