Network Security Engineer - Netskope/ Vpn Ipsec/ Waf

NTT DATA is actively looking for a Network Security engineer for one of its partners in Brussels. This freelance position is hybrid (3 days a week). Responsibilities Design and implementation of network security measures. Develop and deploy security strategies to protect networks against cyber attacks and unauthorized access. Set up and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and other security features. Continuously monitor networks to detect and respond to security incidents. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. Diagnose and solve network security problems. Provide advanced technical support and collaborate with other teams to resolve incidents. Problem‑solving: Ability to quickly analyze and resolve network security issues. Leadership: Ability to lead and coach teams, sharing knowledge and training junior members. Time Management: Competence in managing multiple tasks and projects, respecting deadlines and priorities. Rapid Learning: Quickly assimilate existing applications and processes, adapt to new environments and technologies. Results Orientation: Focused on achieving results, with a strong motivation to lead projects to their completion. Attention to Detail: Close attention to detail when analyzing requirements, developing, testing, and documenting. Stress Management: Manage stress effectively and remain flexible in the face of unforeseen changes and challenges. Capacity for Autonomy: Work independently while reporting to the domain manager. Sensitivity to New Technologies: Be curious and open to new technologies and developments in the sector. Technical Skills Network Management and Routing: Understanding of network management fundamentals, including configuring and managing routers and switches. Knowledge of routing protocols (dynamic, static, inter‑domain), Express Route, ISP connections, WiFi, DNS, TACACS. Network Security: Expertise in setting up and managing firewalls, VPN solutions, proxies (forward and reverse), and load balancers. Cloud Security and Secure Access: Understanding of securing cloud environments, protecting data in transit and at rest, securing access. Mastery of ZTNA concepts. Security Incident Management: Ability to detect and respond to security incidents, analyze threats, and respond to vulnerabilities. Automation and Scripting: Skills in automating network tasks to improve operational efficiency, using common scripting languages. Knowledge of Operating Systems: Familiarity with operating systems used in network environments. Security Standards and Protocols: Knowledge of network security standards and cryptography protocols to secure communications. Tools & Technologies Active Directory, Algosec, Ansible, Express Route, Firewalls, IP Routing, Load Balancing, MPLS, Netskope, Proxy, Scripting, Switching, Syslog, VPN IPSEC, VPN SSL, WAF.
