Senior Python Backend Developer

Do you have 5+ years of professional experience in backend Python development? We are looking for an EU national to join our team in Brussels.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend Python development
• Experience with backend development using Python, including libraries such as Flask, Pandas, and Pydantic.
• Experience with building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Good knowledge of software engineering best practices for clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Experience with performance optimization and ensuring scalability of backend services.
• Experience collaborating with front-end and DevOps teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Experience with designing and optimizing PostgreSQL schemas for efficient data operations.
• Good knowledge of advanced SQL, including views, stored procedures, and functions.
• Understanding of data integrity, database security, and compliance with internal policies.
• Experience with deploying and maintaining applications on AWS (specifically EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).
• Good knowledge of designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures.
• Experience with version control using Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment (preferred).
• Language(s): English (fluent), French or Dutch (fluent)
