Job Description:

• The Software Engineer will join an existing team of four people developing a Python application in Django to support operational needs.
• Responsibilities include developing new features and maintaining existing ones.
• The project is developed using Agile methods and is fully on-premise.
• Presence required at the office in Brussels (RAC) two days per week (Tuesday and Thursday).
• Candidate must be able to obtain security accreditation.

Profile

• Driven and detail-oriented Software Engineer with a passion for modeling, designing, and developing innovative software components and applications.
• Experience in developing data applications in Django.
• Demonstrable ability to translate customer needs into technical requirements.

Key Expertise

• Front-end development: Building and maintaining applications in React.
• Back-end development: In-depth knowledge of Python and demonstrable experience with Django.
• DevOps experience: Docker and Docker Compose for deployment and CI/CD.
• Data quality and integrity: Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data.
• Problem-solving ability: Strong analytical skills to address complex technical challenges and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Additional plus: Experience with Nginx or Apache web servers.

Education

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Software Development/IT or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• Demonstrable experience in Python application development.

• Data: Python, SQL, pandas
• API Development: REST, SOAP, GraphQL
• Cloud Platforms (Optional): Azure

• English plus mastery of one or preferably both national languages (NL/FR).
