We are currently supporting a leading engineering partner in the water & wastewater sector and are looking for an experienced Freelance Automation Engineer with a strong background in Siemens PCS 7.

This is a long-term assignment focusing on process control, optimisation, and commissioning of water treatment systems across industrial and municipal facilities.

Your Role Will Include:

• PCS 7 programming, testing, and commissioning
• SCADA and HMI configuration (SIMATIC WinCC)
• Integration of instrumentation (flow, pressure, dosing)
• Communication setup (PROFIBUS / PROFINET / Modbus)
• On-site support during FAT/SAT and troubleshooting
• Supporting upgrades and lifecycle improvements (v8.x → v9.x)

You Bring:

• 3–5+ years' experience with PCS 7 in industrial environments
• Background in water treatment, utilities, or process automation
• Strong understanding of instrumentation, safety systems (SIL/F-Systems)
• Willingness to support site activities across the Benelux region
• VCA or equivalent safety certification preferred
