Mechanical Engineer – Contract Role (10 Months + Extension)

Region: Ghent Area

For a large industrial production site in the food & beverage manufacturing sector, we are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support engineering operations on a 10-month contract basis, with the possibility of extension.

You will play a key role in maintaining equipment reliability, supporting improvement projects, and ensuring smooth production operations in a technically complex environment.

Key Tasks

• Technical support for production and packaging equipment
• Root-cause analysis of mechanical failures
• Preventive and corrective maintenance optimisation
• Support of capital projects and equipment modifications
• Coordination with internal teams and external suppliers
• Compliance with safety and hygiene requirements

Your Background

• Mechanical Engineering degree
• Experience in industrial manufacturing
• Strong problem-solving mindset
• Comfortable working in an operational environment
