About the Job

As a Software QA Engineer, you will:

• Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies, representing the QA role to the fullest extent
• Communicate daily with the client’s team
• Analyze and challenge (and sometimes actively help develop) user acceptance criteria in Confluence
• Prepare test plans and write detailed test cases based on defined requirements in Azure DevOps Test Plans (using shared steps, shared parameters and test configurations)
• Provide detailed bug reports based on a predefined template
• Provide spoken test-progress reports to the team
• Plan, prepare and perform manual regression testing before scheduled releases
• Give Go/No-Go approval for scheduled releases
• Prepare UAT test plans
• Actively participate in the weekly QA sync meetings (to discuss progress and risks)
• Contribute to establishing a test automation strategy
• Develop automated tests based on the agreed strategy, using the selected technologies

Qualifications

Required skills

• Experience in creating test plans and writing effective test cases
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented approach
• Ability to think functionally and from the customer’s perspective
• Healthy skepticism to help improve the product
• Good intuition in selecting the right test cases for regression testing
• English (professional)

Preferred knowledge

• Basic Windows and Linux knowledge
• Docker / Kubernetes knowledge
• Experience with API testing (Swagger / Postman)
• SQL
• Basic HTML knowledge
• XPath / CSS selectors
• Confluence / SharePoint
• Dutch

Desired technical knowledge

• Azure Portal / DevOps including Test Plans
• Test automation experience in one or more of the following languages and frameworks: Python, Robot Framework, C#, RestSharp, Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript
