About the Job
As a Software QA Engineer, you will:
- Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies, representing the QA role to the fullest extent
- Communicate daily with the client’s team
- Analyze and challenge (and sometimes actively help develop) user acceptance criteria in Confluence
- Prepare test plans and write detailed test cases based on defined requirements in Azure DevOps Test Plans (using shared steps, shared parameters and test configurations)
- Provide detailed bug reports based on a predefined template
- Provide spoken test-progress reports to the team
- Plan, prepare and perform manual regression testing before scheduled releases
- Give Go/No-Go approval for scheduled releases
- Prepare UAT test plans
- Actively participate in the weekly QA sync meetings (to discuss progress and risks)
- Contribute to establishing a test automation strategy
- Develop automated tests based on the agreed strategy, using the selected technologies
Qualifications
Required skills
- Experience in creating test plans and writing effective test cases
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented approach
- Ability to think functionally and from the customer’s perspective
- Healthy skepticism to help improve the product
- Good intuition in selecting the right test cases for regression testing
- English (professional)
Preferred knowledge
- Basic Windows and Linux knowledge
- Docker / Kubernetes knowledge
- Experience with API testing (Swagger / Postman)
- SQL
- Basic HTML knowledge
- XPath / CSS selectors
- Confluence / SharePoint
- Dutch
Desired technical knowledge
- Azure Portal / DevOps including Test Plans
- Test automation experience in one or more of the following languages and frameworks: Python, Robot Framework, C#, RestSharp, Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript
