Immunoassays Development Senior Scientist We are supporting a diagnostics company in the search for an R&D Senior Scientist with strong hands-on expertise in immunoassay development, particularly on automated ELISA-based platforms, combined with a solid background in protein characterisation. This role requires a scientifically rigorous and practically minded expert who is comfortable applying advanced analytical techniques and translating protein insights into robust immunoassays within an IVD-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute immunoassay development activities on automated ELISA-based platforms Design, optimise, and troubleshoot assay configurations, including antibody selection and reagent evaluation Drive protein characterisation activities, including protein identification, analysis, and assessment of target suitability Support the translation of protein and biomarker findings into structured assay development workflows Apply advanced analytical techniques to assess assay performance, sensitivity, and technical robustness Ensure accurate and structured documentation aligned with quality and IVD requirements Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D and product development teams Required Experience Proven experience in immunoassay development Hands-on experience with semi-automated and fully automated ELISA platforms Strong background as a protein specialist Strong analytical skillset with data-driven decision making Experience in biomarker research Experience working in structured, regulated environments (IVD experience preferred) Accurate, analytical, and documentation-driven working style Interested?
