Azure Engineer

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Azure PaaS Engineering: Design, implement, and manage Azure PaaS services including App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Service Bus.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain infrastructure using tools like ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Automation & CI/CD: Build and manage automated CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools to support application deployment and platform provisioning.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain secure configurations, access controls, identity management (Azure AD), and compliance with cloud governance policies.
• Monitoring & Optimization: Configure and tune observability tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics) for performance and availability monitoring.
• Collaboration & Support: Work closely with development teams, DevOps, and InfoSec to enable PaaS adoption, troubleshoot platform-related issues, and provide ongoing support.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain technical documentation and support cross-functional teams through training and technical guidance.

🧠 Required Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience working with Azure PaaS services.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native application design and architecture.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Experience with IaC tools such as ARM, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Experience implementing DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in Azure environments.
• Solid understanding of networking, identity, and access management in Azure.
• Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
• Experience with monitoring and diagnostics tools in Azure.

🎓 Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud strategies.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management practices.
• Background in software engineering or systems administration.

🌟 Nice to Have:

• Exposure to serverless computing (Azure Functions, Logic Apps).
• Experience with database PaaS offerings like Cosmos DB, Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., finance, healthcare, government).
• Familiarity with cost optimization techniques in Azure.
