Technical Specialist – Copilot Studio & Azure AI

As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of next-generation conversational agents powered by generative AI, including the organisation’s secure SecureGPT solution. You'll play a critical role in architecting, implementing, and optimising AI copilots that integrate seamlessly with enterprise systems and data sources.

This position combines the low-code capabilities of Microsoft Copilot Studio with advanced development using Azure’s AI ecosystem, including services such as Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Search, and Azure AI Foundry. You’ll develop custom functionalities such as plugin integration, REST API orchestration, and more, while continuously improving existing solutions and delivering new capabilities aligned with evolving Microsoft technologies and business requirements.

✅ Must-Have Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Azure OpenAI and other Azure AI Foundry services (LLMs, RAG, embeddings)
• Expertise in Microsoft Copilot Studio (or a similar low-code platform) to build and publish copilots
• Skilled in deploying and managing Azure infrastructure (e.g. Resource Groups, networking, Key Vault, identity and access control)
• Experience automating CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or agent-to-agent (A2A) communication protocols
• Strong understanding of monitoring and observability tools (Application Insights, Log Analytics, custom metrics, alerts)
• Fluent in English and proficient in Dutch or French (minimum B2 level)

💡 Nice-to-Haves:

• Knowledge of Azure Cognitive Search and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) with vector databases
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Bicep, Terraform), Azure Policy, and FinOps best practices
• Familiarity with Azure API Management, Service Bus, and Event Grid
• Background in enterprise data integration (Microsoft Graph, SharePoint, SQL, REST/GraphQL)
• Programming experience in Python and optionally in TypeScript, C#, Node.js, or React/SPFX
• Knowledge of testing practices (unit/integration), Git workflows, and code quality pipelines
• Understanding of model evaluation, prompt engineering, and optimisation strategies
• Solid grasp of cloud security and governance (RBAC, secret/key management)
