Maintenance Technician

Join our team as Maintenance Technician at our Pestana Hotel Group unit located in Brussels!

What You Will Be Doing:

You will support the entire technical department with administrative and organisational tasks to ensure the proper maintenance of the hotel building.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Operation and maintenance of all building systems, including heating, air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, etc
• Coordination and supervision of external contractors for installation, maintenance, and repair work
• Conducting repair work in hotel rooms while ensuring guest privacy at all times
• Complying with all procedures related to Legionella
• Applying hotel safety regulations (in case of fire, etc.)
• Actively contributing to the safety of guests and their property (e.g., ensuring the release of emergency exits)
• Development and review of technical standards to optimise operational and investment costs
• Liaison with authorities and external technical partners
• Ensuring smooth operation of all systems and close collaboration with other departments
• Monitoring energy consumption

We Value Individuals Who:

• Have several years of professional experience in building technology, ideally within the hospitality industry
• Are certified technician or completed technical vocational training
• Have strong knowledge of current regulations and Belgian standards for technical systems.
• Are skilled in manual work with broad technical understanding
• Are fluent in English and French; proficiency in an additional foreign language is an advantage
• Have excellent organisational skills and cost awareness
• Have a structured and methodical approach to work
• Have additional qualifications (e.g., safety/fire protection officer)
• Have a service-oriented mindset
• Are eligible to work and already live in Belgium
