Our client a well-known consumer goods multinational is looking to hire multiple:
Senior Engagement Managers – European Parliament
For their EU Public Affairs office in Brussels (B)
Role Purpose:
- Reporting into the Senior Head of EU Engagement (who reports directly to the VP EU Public Affairs), drive the EU engagement Strategy, including the development of constructive dialogue with key stakeholders based in Brussels
- Develop relevant network and facilitate local market teams interactions in Brussels to support the EU team objectives
Your Key Responsibilities?
- Lead, develop, and implement contact programs to build and enhance relationships with key EU-level stakeholders, with guidance from the Head of EU Engagement, to whom this role reports.
· Collaborate across region Europe-27 with market teams as part of pan-EU campaigns.
· Support national Public Affairs teams in their engagement activities in support of EU objectives.
- Drive the organisation of relevant events to support the engagement objectives.
- Represent the company externally and in relevant business forums and build constructive dialogue with stakeholders active at EU Level.
Who is the hiring company looking for?
· 8 to 15 years of relevant experience in Brussels working in EU government Affairs Roles of which is at least 2 to 6 years of experience within the European Parliament as Policy Advisor / MEP Assistant.
- In-depth knowledge of the EU decision making process, of the Treaty of Lisbon and of the European Parliament Rules of Procedure.
- A strong, existing, active network within EU policy making circles.
- Hands-on experience in health, technology or innovation policies or any relevant field.
- Ability to translate complex business and scientific statements into simple and straightforward political key messages targeted for a specific target audience.
