We are looking for a Recycling Analyst to join our RecyClass Team with the below characteristics:
Role
- Responsible for the development of the Certification for sorting processes.
- Leading sorting testing campaigns under the RecyClass Sorting Task Force.
- Supporting sorting centres in the application process for sorting process certifications.
- Working with Certification Bodies in the process for audits for the plastics industry.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Managing the RecyClass Sorting Task Force.
- Leading sorting tests to gather more knowledge on the impact of the packaging design with plastic packaging sorting operations.
- Advising and assisting companies on the sorting certification process.
- Recording, reviewing, and interpreting data to determine the effectiveness of certification scheme evolution.
- Researching discrepancies and operational challenges in the certification activities and developing solutions.
- Examining records, reports, and other documents concerning certification activities.
- Coordinating trainings and workshops for auditors.
- Meetings with companies interested in certification.
Qualifications
- University Master Science degree. Preferably in science, environmental sciences or environmental engineering.
- Minimum 1-year working experience in manufacturing industry or certification. Experience in plastic packaging, sorting and recycling, circular economy, traceability, quality management and chain of custody or auditing is an asset.
- Knowledge about national and international standard for traceability and chain of custody is an asset.
Required skills
- Fluent in English; both written and spoken; other European languages are an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office software package.
- Analytics skills for data collection and critical interpretation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure while respecting deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.
- Motivation to learn new skills and technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to manage technical groups and consensus mechanism.
- Open minded, fast learner and a good networker.
- Team player and proactive.
