EU Public Policy Communications Intern

Our Public Affairs consultancy based in Brussels is looking for a motivated Communications intern to reinforce our team in the creation and implementation of communications projects and campaigns contributing to our clients’ strategic goals. The internship will include working on several accounts, with a strong focus on associations, as well as supporting our consultancy’s internal communication, giving you the chance to develop various skills whilst learning about diverse sectors.

What are we looking for?

Essential

• You have an excellent level of English (a good knowledge of French/ Dutch is an asset)
• You hold a university level degree or have relevant experience in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Media studies or another related field
• You have strong writing skills and a passion for visual and audio-visual communication
• You have experience in managing professional social media accounts
• You’re able to show creativity, flexibility, autonomy, and proactivity
• You’re a team player with strong organisational and prioritisation skills

An added plus

• You have experience working with associations
• You have experience in an international or non-profit organisation or in a creative agency
• You have a sound knowledge of the EU and policy-making processes
• You have experience in audio/visual editing
• You have experience in monitoring the news and building out media lists
• You have experience in using Canva, Mailchimp, and WordPress

What will be your main responsibilities?

• Drafting content, for example: social media content, newsletters, press releases, annual reports, pitches for media, and articles for websites
• Assisting in designing visuals for social media and internal communications
• Supporting the organisation of events (press events, conferences, meetings, etc).
• Supporting the management of clients’ social media accounts (LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube) and websites
• Media monitoring and database management (e.g. association members and media lists)
