About the Role

Our client, a mid-sized production company located in Ghent, is seeking an experienced Head of Controlling to join their team. This position will play a key role in strengthening the company’s financial performance through analytical insight, cost control, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all controlling activities within the organization.
• Develop and maintain analytical accounting systems to support management decision-making.
• Set up and manage standard cost and actual cost calculations per product and per customer.
• Provide clear financial analyses and performance reports to senior management.
• Partner closely with operations and production teams to understand cost drivers and improve profitability.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of controlling tools, reporting, and internal financial processes.

Profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a controlling role, ideally within a mid-sized or large company.
• Proven experience in analytical accounting and cost calculation in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and hands-on approach.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Must live within 45 minutes of Ghent.
