We're seeking a Data Quality Analyst (Freelance) to join our client's Data Governance Centre of Expertise for a 13-month project in Brussels. This is a mission-critical opportunity to shape the future of data quality in the financial sector, directly impacting regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and the integrity of financial security data. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement data quality controls for critical business processes, focusing on client, KYC, and transactional data.
• Monitor data quality using dashboards and KPIs; lead the redesign and upgrade of these tools as needed.
• Identify, analyze, and document data quality issues, proactively and reactively, prioritizing based on business impact.
• Perform root cause analysis and propose solutions in collaboration with IT, operations, compliance, and process teams.
• Coordinate and support remediation plans, including change management for impacted teams.
• Support data certification processes and contribute to Data Quality Assessment & Remediation Committees.
• Contribute to the design, monitoring, and harmonization of data definitions, dictionaries, and glossaries.
• Assist Data Managers in maintaining key financial security data documentation and identifying high-value use cases.
• Develop expertise in financial security data flows and applications.
• Actively share best practices, challenges, and solutions within the Data Quality Analysts Community.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency with Office tools (Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint).
• Experience with data analysis and business impact assessment.
• Stakeholder management and strong communication skills (written and spoken).
• Preferred: Knowledge of banking databases, data governance frameworks and tools (Collibra, Ab Initio).
• Preferred: Experience with dashboard development (e.g., Tableau), Business Objects.
• Preferred: Familiarity with SQL, SAS, Python.

• Preferred: Understanding of digital culture and ability to navigate digital ecosystems.

• English: Fluent

• French: Good (or Dutch)

• Dutch: Good (or French)

• Master's degree or higher.

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Data Quality Analysis within the banking sector.
• Business experience in Financial Security domains (KYC, AML, Sanctions) is essential.
• Preferred: Experience in our client's environment.
• Ownership mindset: autonomous, self-taught, solution-oriented, and unafraid of complex challenges.
• Team player: flexible, accurate, control-minded, and creative in daily problem-solving.
• Strong influencing and communication skills, with the curiosity to challenge and improve existing processes.
