Senior Functional Analyst

As a Functional Analyst / Product Owner, you represent the business within the product team and act as the key liaison for all involved stakeholders. You take end-to-end ownership of user stories - from gathering and writing to validating and testing them.

You work closely with the product manager and the development team to transform business needs into actionable functional specifications. With your strong analytical mindset, you are able to grasp complex requirements and turn them into user-centric solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Support the product manager in refining business requirements
• Summarize the project scope using BPMN diagrams or storytelling techniques
• Translate customer needs into detailed functional specifications
• Develop user story mapping and write complete user stories for the development team
• Facilitate estimation and planning sessions
• Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all functional questions throughout development
• Maintain the application landscape within your domain
• Validate completed features by performing acceptance testing
• Share knowledge and maintain alignment across the full IT product team
• Communicate clearly and transparently — from high-level overviews to detailed technical information

Skills:

• A master’s degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in functional and/or API analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• The ability to explain complex topics in a simple and understandable way
• Experience in preparing Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) within a GDPR context
• Working knowledge of UML diagrams and BPMN
• Solid hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, and Miro
• A technical background or affinity, including the ability to describe APIs (e.g. using Swagger)
