For a leading financial organization, we are looking for a Functional/Data Analyst to support a strategic control room initiative within the Risk domain.

Project Context

This strategic program centralizes risk insights, automates control follow-ups, and provides real-time monitoring to support decision-making, transparency, and operational efficiency.

The initiative combines data, processes, and user workflows into a modern control room solution.

Your Responsibilities

Requirements & Analysis

• Collaborate closely with Risk, Compliance, Data Owners, and Process Experts
• Analyze and challenge business requirements
• Translate needs into structured functional specifications
• Model current and future processes to identify optimization and automation opportunities

Functional Design

• Design dashboards, alerts, workflows, data flows, user journeys, and reporting features
• Define automated control and alerting rules
• Ensure consistency with overall architecture and project vision

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with developers, data specialists, and Product Owner in an agile environment (Scrum/Kanban)
• Support refinement sessions, sprint planning, and backlog prioritization
• Validate deliverables during testing cycles
• Guide business acceptance testing
• Translate complex topics into clear communication for non-technical stakeholders

Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain clear documentation (user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria)
• Proactively identify improvements in UX, process optimization, and scalability
• Contribute to building a future-proof control room solution

Profile

Must-Haves

• Proven experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role in digital or data-driven projects
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• Ability to translate business needs into functional designs understood by developers
• Experience in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in English

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in risk or compliance environments
• Experience with process modelling (BPMN, UML, or similar)
• Familiarity with dashboarding or monitoring solutions (Power BI, Qlik Sense, Splunk, etc.)
• Knowledge of workflows and automation tools
• Understanding of data models and APIs
• Dutch language skills
