Business Application Analyst

Description

We currently have a vacancy for a Business and Application Support Analyst fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on-site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated with the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks

• Analysis and documentation of business requirements;
• Business process and model analysis;
• 2nd line support analysis, tracking and monitoring of business workflow application problems and impediments up to their resolution;
• Analysis and redaction of detailed problem descriptions and reports as meaningful input for upstream support teams (3rd line, application developments teams);
• Functional requirements and business cases analysis as well as risk analysis;
• Resolution Time Analysis and Resolution Time Analysis;
• Assistance in Business cases, Vision documents, Project Charters and Security Plans.

Requirements

• University degree in IT combined with relevant IT professional experience of 11 years;
• Good knowledge of specific support tools or techniques and documentation writing in the context of the analysis and resolution of business workflow application problems and impediments;
• Proven knowledge in end-user assistance and/or support of information systems, especially in the context of the analysis and resolution of business workflow application problems and impediments;
• Good knowledge of analysis/modelling tools and techniques (use case diagram, state diagram, entity relationship model, interaction diagrams);
• Good knowledge of BPMN or UML or other with equivalent value;
• Good knowledge of Wiki and collaborative sites;
• Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g. RUP, Agile);
• Experience in using JIRA;
• Very good knowledge of Ms-Office tools;
• Clear and structured writing skills, both for analysis documents and technical documentation as well as good reporting methods;
• Excellent command of the English and French language.
