Quality Control Inspector

In Brussels, we have our Structural and Mechatronics Engineering offices, where all our new programs begin and our workshops are equipped with modern

machines that produce complex metallic assemblies for aircraft and space launchers as well as advanced Thrust Vectoring Systems for space launchers.

Mission:  

Your main mission as Quality Control Inspector in the incoming department is to ensure product or process inspection of the supplied product/service in accordance with specifications and  quality standards. You are also responsible for identifying non-conformities, working closely together with the supplier quality engineer to resolve the non-conformity at supplier and performing inspections after they have been resolved. 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual measurements using available tools (micrometer, diameter test, panameter, caliper, hardness test, etc.); 
  • Carry out visual inspections according to customer specifications; 
  • Validate supplier documentation, including verification of certificates;  
  • Create and follow up supplier non-conformities
  • Maintain accurate documentation and archive quality data; 
  • Prepare reports and ensure follow-up of quality controls. 

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance with the EN9100 quality standard and the ISO 14001 environmental standard; 
  • Performing rigorous self-checks to guarantee the quality and conformity of the work; 
  • Transferring your skills and knowledge to new team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and mutual support. 

Profile:  

Education:

You hold a higher education degree (bachelor's in a technical field) or have equivalent experience

Desired experience:

You have previous experience in a quality control environment, ideally in the aerospace industry or a related sector. 

Soft Skills:     

  • You follow strict procedures with precision;  
  • You have an analytical mindset and the ability to detect errors in data;  
  • You are flexible and willing to work shifts. 

Technical:     

  • You have knowledge of classical measurement techniques;  
  • You can read and understand 2D drawings. 

Languages:

You have good communication skills, both written and oral, in Dutch, French, and English. 

IT skills:

  • You have basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, SAP, Word). 
  • You are able to work with 3D programs such as Catia.
