We Are Hiring: Senior Azure Data Engineer / Data Warehouse Specialist

Location: EU Institution – Onsite/Hybrid (details during interview)

We are looking for an experienced
Data Engineer / Data Warehouse Consultant
with strong expertise in
Microsoft Azure
to support one of our European Institution clients.

Your Main Responsibilities

• End-to-end
  Data Warehouse lifecycle development
  (design, architecture, ETL, testing) using
  Microsoft Azure
• Data modelling
  (OLAP/OLTP, star/snowflake schemas) with tools like EA Sparks or Oracle Designer
• Drafting and validating
  technical & functional analyses
• Preparing and maintaining
  technical documentation & standards
• Design, build and test
  ETL/ELT pipelines
  (Python, Azure Synapse)
• Azure DevOps
  setup for release, environment, and version management
• Implement
  security, IAM, RBAC
  , and ensure compliance with EC policies
• System monitoring
  , incident support & SLA follow-up
• Testing & QA
  using proven methodologies
• Promote a
  data-driven culture
  and support information governance best practices
• Train and support
  internal teams in adopting best practices

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years in:

• Microsoft Azure Data Platform (Azure Gen2, Synapse, ADLS)
• Data warehousing & database modelling
• ETL processes and tooling
• Python, Scala, PySpark & Spark SQL
• Azure DevOps, Git (CI/CD)
• Experience with SQL-based databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL)
• Understanding of IAM, RBAC, AD, monitoring, and compliance (GDPR, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of
  Power BI
  (DAX, Dataflow, Datamart)

Nice to have:

• Power Apps / Power Automate
• JIRA or similar project tools

Soft Skills

• Experience in multicultural & international environments

• English: C1 level (French B2 is a plus)
• Problem-solving mindset & consulting attitude

• High integrity and confidentiality awareness

Education & Certifications

Bachelor's degree minimum (EQF Level 6) – Master's preferred

MS Azure Data Engineer Certification – mandatory
