The European Commission is lookinf for an Enterprise Architect (EA) to work in the following froject: DIGIT.B2, the unit for Interoperability and Digital Government, promotes digital-ready policymaking (DRPM) within and beyond the European Commission (EC), supporting the implementation of the Commission’s Digital Transformation and EU policies.

Total project duration: 1100 days.

Initial contract duration as a freelancer is 90 days, extendable thereafter.

Below are the details of your role and requirements.

Support to policy design

• Participate in early-guidance meetings with policy teams to understand their needs and

provide digital-ready guidance – with specific focus on digital solutions and enterprise

architecture.

• Coordinate closely with IT experts and policy teams.
• Contribute to the development of digital-ready guidance materials, with a focus on boosting

the reuse of existing digital components.

Work on Legislative Financial and Digital Statements (LFDSs) and Digital Statements (DSs)

• Assist in drawing up LFDSs/DSs and assessing the quality of such statements, in particular

their digital solution section.

• Support the identification of different reusable digital components and digital implementation measures in LFDSs/DSs.
• Work on the digital solution chapter the of the digital statements’ evaluation framework.

Fostering multidisciplinary teamwork in the EC policy design

• Moderate workshops, lunch time events that informs policy officers about available

technology for their policy initiatives and connects them with the IT teams behind such solutions.

• Moderate the tegular Q&A sessions with the policy DGs’ local DRPM support teams.

Support to DRPM team’s request management and service monitoring

• Contribute to the design of the DRPM team’s request management and service monitoring

solutions

Support to policy implementation

• Coordinate DIGIT.B2’s input to any PIR or PC.
• Pepare the ground for a policy implementation support project – as foreseen by the

Interoperable Europe Act – involving key stakeholders from the EC and Member States.

What we expect from you?

• Education: Minimum 5 years of relevant education (Master’s degree or equivalent)
• Excellent knowledge of enterprise architecture notations such as BPMN.
• Excellent knowledge of enterprise architecture tools such as ARIS.
• Excellent knowledge of Service Now ITSM.
• Excellen knowledge of adoption dashboards.
• At least three years of proven experience supporting Commission Service(s) as an enterprise

architect.

• Knowledge of digital-ready policymaking.
• Following certificates & standards are required for the performance of tasks:

*Certified in PM2

*Certified in Agile@EC
