The role will be responsible for EU-facing communications in support of SHEIN's engagement with policymakers, media, and other stakeholders, working in close partnership with SHEIN's EU GR team and other teams across the organisation.

The role requires a strong understanding of the EU policy environment, the ability to translate complex regulatory issues into clear and credible messaging, and experience advising on high-stakes reputational matters in a highly scrutinised, multi-stakeholder context. It combines strategic communications leadership with media engagement and senior-level counsel.

  • Drive effective communication of SHEIN's perspectives on EU-related issues to external audiences, including acting as a spokesperson where required.
  • Shape clear, coherent public-facing narratives on EU-relevant topics across corporate, policy, and reputational dimensions.
  • Act as a strategic communications partner to the EU Government Relations team and other functions engaged in EU policy discussions.
  • Oversee local and regional media relations relevant to the role.

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 10 years' experience in corporate communications, public affairs, policy communications, or a related field, with significant EU exposure.
  • Strong understanding of EU institutions, legislative processes, and regulatory dynamics, ideally gained through experience in Brussels.
  • Proven experience advising on high-profile or sensitive issues in a regulated or highly scrutinised environment.
  • Excellent writing and narrative building skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and credibly.
  • Strong media relations experience with European and international outlets.
  • Fluent English required; working proficiency in French and/or another EU language is a strong asset.

SHEIN is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse workplace

environment.
