Full Stack Developer (focus back-end) in start-up

At Studaro we are bridging the gap between emerging talent, education and the job market with a a talent platform consisting of:

• A talent portal
• An employer portal
• A portal for educational partners
• Our own ATS & back-end system

We are looking for a full stack developer with a couple of years of experience to help build the Studaro Talent Platform. You will play an essential role in executing our long-term growth strategy by developing and optimizing our technological infrastructure and services. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of key features, contribute to the overall architecture, and collaborate well with our small but growing team.

Important:

• This is a hybrid position in Ghent, Belgium.
• We expect team members to work at our Ghent office 2 to 3 days per week.
• Please only apply if you live in Belgium and can commute to Ghent.

Technical skills:

• Proficiency in RESTful APIs, and database management (PostgreSQL, Prisma)
• Experience with TypeScript, Nest.js, Node.js and Vue.js (or similar frameworks)
• Strong understanding of both front-end and back-end development
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Knowledge of web performance optimization and security best practices

Soft skills:

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to be able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues
• Ability to plan your work, and communicate this plan
• Support your colleagues in code reviews and feedback sessions
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively
• Autonomous with an ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion
• Continuously looking for ways to improve and enable our technology and processes to implement new ideas and solutions

Nice to have:

• Experience in hosting
• Experience in Google Cloud environment
• Knowledge of Machine Learning or AI
• Interest or skills in automation
• Experience with mobile app development
• Expertise in DevOps / Scrum / Agile
