Our digital experience & MarTech agency Plan.Net, part of our Brussels-based House of Communication (labeled Great Place to Work) is seeking a T-shaped Account Director who thrives on both strategic leadership and hands-on operational involvement.

This role requires you to manage strategic client relationships while actively leading, coaching, and working alongside our team of Digital Project Managers in the day-to-day delivery of projects. You will oversee Plan.Net’s full client portfolio, ensuring that project delivery aligns with our strategic objectives and maintains the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities


Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, managing all aspects of the relationship across finance, operations, brand, and people.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term partnerships with key client stakeholders through open communication, proactive collaboration and acting as a strategic partner.

Strategic Account Planning

  • Develop and implement strategic account plans that align with the client’s overall business and marketing objectives, leveraging Plan.Net’s full-service offering; including digital transformation consulting, customer and commerce platforms, CRM, data & analytics, customer experience design, UX/UI, and AI-powered solutions.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders and internal experts across strategy, UX, data, tech and content to identify opportunities for impactful digital innovation. Ranging from automated loyalty and first-party data activation to CRM-driven personalization, seamless commerce, and agentic AI workflows.
  • Translate business goals into integrated, actionable strategies. E.g., by connecting capabilities such as CRM architecture, content automation, journey orchestration, and AI-driven personalization; creating cohesive digital experiences across all touchpoints.

Service & Campaign/Project Execution:

  • Oversee the delivery of all services and campaigns, ensuring excellence from concept through execution.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver work that meets or exceeds client expectations.

Financial & Operational Management:

  • Manage budgets, forecast revenue, and ensure account profitability and operational efficiency & efficient resource management.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial updates to both the client and internal stakeholders.

Business Development:

  • Identify and drive organic growth opportunities within the client’s business.
  • Play an active role in strategic new business, including shaping proposals, pitch narratives, and representing Plan.Net’s expertise.
  • Contribute to the agency’s broader growth ambitions by spotting market opportunities, sharing sector insights, and collaborating cross-functionally to convert leads into long-term partnerships.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams working on digital strategy and transformation projects, including CRM, customer journey management, UX/UI, content, CRO, data, tech and AI
  • Directly manage and support project managers, ensuring they are empowered to deliver operational excellence across complex digital ecosystems.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture with a strong focus on ownership, accountability and clarity.
  • Coach, mentor and grow junior and mid-level talent across project delivery, client service and digital strategy.
  • Create a safe, empowering environment where people feel trusted, supported and challenged to evolve.


Qualifications and requirements


  • At least 10 years of experience in advertising, with at least 3 years in a senior (digital) client service or account director role.
  • A proven people leader with the ability to inspire, coach and empower teams.
  • Strong strategic and commercial mindset. You think in business value, not just deliverables.
  • Strong digital knowledge across CRM architecture, MarTech, performance marketing, CRO strategies & lead generation funnels, loyalty & data activation, and AI applications.
  • Experience with integrated marketing campaigns and omnichannel journeys.
  • Dutch native & fluent in French and English.
  • Eager to grow across a wide range of sectors – both B2C and B2B – with curiosity for different business models and marketing challenges.
