Accounting Assistant (80%)


Our client is a leading international manufacturer specializing in advanced agricultural solutions, serving markets worldwide.


They are seeking a motivated and experienced Accounting Assistant to join their small, friendly team in Mechelen.


This hybrid role (2 days of homeworking, 80% working hours) offers great flexibility in a pleasant working environment, within a global organization!


Accounting Assistant – The Role

Your main tasks will include:

  • Managing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Preparing financial reports such as aging and cash flow reports.
  • Preparing monthly VAT returns
  • Processing and verifying incoming and outgoing invoices and transactions.
  • Executing payments to vendors
  • Creating and forwarding invoices to clients, liaising with the sales team for credit control
  • Supporting the Finance Manager during audits, during one-off projects

Accounting Assistant – Job Requirements

  • A degree in accounting or in a relevant field
  • A first relevant experience in accounting, preferably in an international environment.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills..
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.


Accounting Assistant – The Offer

  • A varied part-time position (4/5) within a small, enthusiastic team in an internationally oriented company.
  • Competitive salary between €2,500 and €32500 per month, plus benefits: (meal vouchers, écochèques, group insurance, hospitalization insurance,
  • Hybrid working model (2 days remote per week), 26 holidays per year (FTE)
