GL Accountant

Your function

Our client is looking for a structured and accurate GL Accountant to join their international finance team. You will contribute to the integrity of the financial reporting and ensure compliance with VAT and accounting regulations.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Prepare and post journal entries for monthly and yearly closings
• Monitor VAT compliance and prepare VAT filings
• Support monthly closing processes and ensure timely reporting
• Perform variance analysis and provide insights to internal stakeholders
• Contribute to process improvements in the GL and VAT domain
• Assist in internal and external audits

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
• 3–5 years of experience in a GL or VAT-focused accounting role
• Proficient in Excel and accounting tools; experience with Oracle JDE is a plus
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to work independently and manage priorities within deadlines
• Fluency in Dutch or English
