Your function

Our client is a multidisciplinary and future-oriented real estate group, known for its commitment to architectural excellence and sustainability. To support their continued growth, they are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join their in-house legal team and provide hands-on legal support across all phases of development projects.

• Provide strategic and operational legal advice on real estate transactions in Belgium and Luxembourg
• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of contracts (LOIs, sales and purchase agreements, rights in rem, construction contracts, leases, shareholder agreements, etc.)
• Support project structuring and incorporation of joint ventures or special purpose vehicles
• Assess legal risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (development, sales, project management, finance, insurance) and external parties (law firms, notaries)
• Follow-up on public procurement files and potential PPP initiatives
• Contribute to internal legal knowledge and assist in the resolution of legal disputes when they arise
• Participate in internal and external project meetings, offering pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice.

Your profile

• Master of Laws from a Belgian university
• Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience, including in a law firm and/or in-house legal department
• In-depth knowledge of real estate law; additional familiarity with tax law, M&A, planning or PPP is a plus
• Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills, with a business-oriented mindset
• Team player with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
• Fluent in French, Dutch and English
• Flexible, pragmatic and open-minded approach to legal problem-solving.
