Information Technology Project Manager


For one of our customers in Brussels, we are looking for a Project Manager experienced within the Public service and knowledge of the exchange of data between the police and the judiciary on a long term freelance mission.


Start: October 2025

Mandays: 215+

Remote 50% & 50% onsite in Brussels

Languages: Dutch & French

Location: Brussels

Daily rate: €650


Profile Description

As an Expert Project Manager, you play a crucial role in the successful management and execution of complex projects within the Federal Public Service Justice. You work closely with various stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners and public bodies such as the police and the FPS Mobility, in order to achieve the project objectives. You have excellent skills in stakeholder management, communication and project coordination.


An important part of this function is to optimise the exchange of data between the police and the judiciary. As part of the objectives of the action plan for the Federal Road Safety Fund, you are working on the expansion of the fines platform, with a view to more efficient processing and prosecution of traffic offences. This project includes the development of a reporting app for the police and better analysis of camera images to detect offences such as not wearing seat belts and mobile phone use. The aim is to reduce the workload and increase the efficiency of the criminal justice chain. You are responsible for cooperation with the Regional Processing Centres (RTCs) and other relevant bodies and ensure compliance with new regulations and audit recommendations. You are bilingual (French and Dutch) and have extensive knowledge of relevant software such as Poloffice, Microsoft Azure and MaCH.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project management.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Good command of French and Dutch.
  • Experience with a public service
  • Knowledge of the exchange of data between the police and the judiciary.
