We are looking for a Mid/Senior Business Analyst to join our team in Brussels. Responsibilities: Gather requirements from the client, analyze them, and translate them into clear and concise user stories; Act as an internal consultant to translate business questions into insights; Define an "action plan" to deliver user stories by helping the team to break down user stories into tasks; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements; Participate in planning, support, and execution of software development projects; Initiate and follow up projects under the close supervision of the Project Leader/Project Manager to ensure that a smooth execution of projects can be guaranteed; Validate newly developed systems to ensure that a successful implementation is possible in agreement with the set criteria of the (internal) customer; Review and perform root cause analysis of data errors and provide short-term and long-term solutions for issues; Participate in user acceptance testing and provide feedback to development teams; Resolve roadblocks to maximize team impact; Provide direct client support and anticipate client's needs; Communicate progress and status of projects to stakeholders and management; Prepare and deliver presentations and reports Requirements and skills: Fluent (written and spoken) in Dutch, French and English Strong problem-solving and business judgment skills; Excellent analytical capabilities including the ability to research; Excellent communication and presentation skills; Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel and SQL; Knowledge and experience with project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall); You get extra points for: Knowledge/interest of social funds in Belgium; Knowledge of Scrum methodology; Experience with visualization tools like Lucid, Miro, etc.; 1-2 days on site in Brussels
