Working in the Access Engineering team:

The Access Engineering team is responsible for the E2E quality of our network. This is ensured by drawing up and maintaining design rules, selecting quality materials, providing technical documentation and supporting construction and maintenance activities. Increasing efficiency and customer satisfaction while keeping cost under control is part of the team and individual objectives. In addition, the latest technological trends within the sector are monitored and we are always looking for innovative ideas that can make a difference.

Your responsibilities as Passive Fiber Infrastructure Specialist:

  • You optimise the topology of the network through your profound knowledge and understanding of Fiber and HFC networks.
  • You draw-up and maintain design rules to support the further development of the network and the products Wyre offers.
  • You write technical documentation to support the construction and maintenance teams, as well as their external partners, through for example training documentation, installation guidelines, measurement procedures…
  • You constantly improve the materials used during construction and maintenance activities.
  • You monitor new trends and investigate how innovation can make a difference.
  • You provide support within the organization, as well as to our partners. This includes field assistance, design support, hands-on installation of materials, and guidance in carrying out quality measurements. The "train the trainer" principle is frequently applied.
    You serve as a problem solver through close collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders.

Our ideal candidate:

We are seeking a talented professional to support the Access Engineering team in the selection and evaluation of materials used in our FTTH mass rollout program. As our ideal Passive Fiber Infrastructure Specialist:

  • You have several years of experience in network infrastructure, engineering or maintenance activities
  • You work well with others and welcome constructive criticism to improve your achievements and performance.
  • You have a passion for technology, and you keep this knowledge up to date.
  • You can bring people together and convince them to work together on a common goal. You pay attention to the opinions and visions of others.
  • You can dive into the details, but always keep an overview and high level understanding of the total picture.
  • You can write and review technical documentation in English in a fluent manner. So fluancy in English is key, Dutch and/or French is an asset.
  • You are familiar with IEC standards, requirement documents, and supplier specification sheets is a plus.
  • You demonstrate maturity in managing all your responsibilities
  • You have a master's degree in a relevant field or can demonstrate equivalent experience.
    You are in the possession of a driver license, so you can be present on-site from time to time to observe installations, gather real-time feedback, and ensure that materials and guidelines are effectively implemented.
