Job Summary
The job holder will be responsible for providing expert coaching to riders of all ages and skill levels, and re-school horses.
Major Tasks
Conduct riding lessons and organize activities to clients, members and/or riders to ensure they can ride according to the progress of each individual.
Follow safety directives and promote safety guidelines, such as regularly school and care for horses and ponies, review and examine equipments to ensure safety and optimum fit for horses and adhere to management policies and procedures.
Plan and implement training schedules to facilitate lessons and client participation. Maintain lesson records and billing accuracy.
Develop youth programs for talent. School retired racehorses and livery horses. Select horses for development.
Oversee training and development of horses and riders. Support veterinarians and farriers. Assist during veterinary evaluations and retraining. Ensure horse welfare and best practices.
Assist team members in skill improvement. Provide on-the-job training and encourage career progression.
Complete administrative tasks, such as prepare incident reports and maintain accurate lesson schedules.
Perform any other tasks as directed by management to assist operations as necessary.
Education
Qualifications
Relevant equestrian coaching qualifications, BHS Qualifications, or equivalent
Experience
Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience
