REPORTING TO: Sales Director, Benelux

LOCATION: 1731 Asse - Zellik, Belgium - hybrid working model (3 days in office per week)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: To TGCS Utrecht, NL and Almere, NL offices as well as to customer sites.

What’s ‘In-store’? – Role Overview

As a New Business Sales Professional, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and closing new business opportunities within the retail sector. Your success will be measured by your ability to generate qualified leads, convert prospects into long-term clients, and contribute to revenue growth through strategic selling.

  • Mission: To empower retailers to better serve their communities by enabling them to evolve with generations of consumers and associates while rapidly adapting to whatever the future holds
  • Purpose: To empower retail to thrive and prosper


Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Generation: Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets through new client acquisition.
  • Lead Development: Identify and qualify new business opportunities via outbound prospecting, networking, and industry events.
  • Solution Selling: Understand client challenges and position our IT solutions as value-driven answers to their needs.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy and accurate sales pipeline using CRM tools, ensuring timely follow-ups and forecasting.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in retail organizations (C-level, IT, Operations)
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, pre-sales, and product teams to tailor proposals and close deals effectively.


Success Metrics:

  • New Revenue Closed: €X in new business within the first 6–12 months.
  • Sales Cycle Efficiency: Average deal closure within X weeks/months.
  • Lead Conversion Rate: Minimum X% conversion from qualified lead to closed deal.
  • Client Retention Handoff: Smooth transition of new clients to account management with clear documentation and expectations.


What You Will Bring To The Team:

  • Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably in IT or SaaS for the retail sector.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations and digital transformation trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter with a results-driven mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus (for Benelux coverage).
