R&D Engineer – Electromechanical (Biogas)

As an R&D Engineer, you’ll join a team of multiple specialists and begin with intensive training, shadowing colleagues in service and production. You’ll gradually build the expertise to grow into a Product Engineer role while actively contributing to innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Perform tests and measurements on CHP, gas purification installations, electrical controls, and sensors.
• Collect and process technical data for analysis and product improvements.
• Develop technical solutions based on input from production, service, and project teams.
• Support in building prototypes and follow up on field tests.
• Preparing technical documentation and ensuring clear communication across stakeholders.
• Maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in electromechanics (industrial or civil), or equivalent experience.
• Passion for electromechanics, electricity, or automation and eagerness to specialise further.
• A practical, hands-on learner who thrives on collaboration.
• A solution-oriented mindset with initiative and ownership of tasks.
• A structured, quality-driven work style with excellent documentation skills.
• Passionate about research development technologies.
• Comfortable in Dutch and English (French is a plus).
• Affinity with agriculture or energy is an advantage.
