Context:
Patient empowerment and collaborative engagement are redefining healthcare. Getting patients to play an active role in their care is one component, while we hear from our customers that delivering care today is complex with hospitals facing challenges such as capacity and budgets, variation in care, lack of data, etc.
Background:
The Lead Business Analyst will sit in our MedTech Technology Organization. The main responsibilities are designing new Patient Pathways Platform features and stories & supporting the development and testing of those new features.
To support these activities, the Lead BA will understand the technical platform & products, business strategies, goals to deliver e-health capabilities in alignment with the existing vision, objectives and standards.
This role will do hands-on analysis, prototyping, solutioning of the business challenges working hand-in-hand with the Business Owners, Solution Architects and technical delivery team. The role has a strong background in technical business analysis, allowing them to swiftly understand requirements & translate them into technical solutions. They will also partner closely with the Technical Product Manager to drive the roadmap for the Patient Pathways portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Be a Technology partner, understand the Patient Pathways vision and OKRs via the product management processes and deliver digital and D&A capabilities in alignment with existing strategies and standards
· Gain a deep understanding of how the platform and product work, from a technology perspective & from an end-user perspective. This role takes ownership of the technical solutions by knowing them inside & out, and can thereby further shape the solutions for the future.
· Conduct Technology Business Analysis: Map out business & user journey process; Capture business requirements and specifications (story boards, use cases, wireframes, BPM); drive translation into technical requirements
· Lead the technical discovery process for digital and D&A features, scoping needs, gathering requirements, and producing functional specifications. Shape and prioritize backlog, utilizing business expertise and understanding of customer needs, translate requirements into user stories & acceptance criteria. Act as the “voice of the customer” within the squad to ensure the squad “builds the right thing”
· Cultivate relationships with business partners, J&J suppliers, customers and external agencies. Develop deep insights into the needs of our business, franchises, patients, HCP’s and markets to become the go-to person for as well business as technology partners
· Take a regional view on technology solutions, building a good understanding of business practice in other countries through a network of IT & business colleagues to harmonize Patient Pathway solutions where possible
· Communicate vision to developers and testers. Explain how requirements may be implemented from a functional standpoint and drive/improve user experience
· Identify, wireframe, prototype, test, and operationalize eHealth solutions using visualization platforms. Support continuous process improvement; mapping current and future state, root cause analysis for process gaps and improvement to identify and resolve business and technology related issues
· Act as lead for the team of Product Analysts. Align PA approach across the team, drive standardization, coordinate efforts across PA team
Qualifications
· Bachelor of Computer Science / Information Technology or related Business / Engineering degree or at least 3-5 years of relevant experience
· Good understanding of Agile (SAFe) delivery methodology
· Working knowledge of SDLC (CSV, Computer System Validation) and rRDM (Business Analysis methodology) including requirements elicitation, system design, development and validation/regulatory requirements
· Experience using Jira (including Xray Testing), Confluence for capturing user stories, testing, and general documentation
· Experience working in process-driven environments (SDLC, Agile) coordinating internal and external delivery partners toward a single goal
· Experience of platforms and technologies comprising the digital ecosystem (e.g. static/dynamic web, mobile apps, media and content management systems)
o The candidate has experience or can demonstrate the ability to get up to speed in our technology stack. Our platform and product use the following technologies: REST APIs, Event driven architecture, Data domains & ERD, Microservices, API-driven portal and mobile app, data warehouse, PowerBI
· Ability to recommend priorities to multiple stakeholders based on the highest business value is required
· Broad technology experience with ability to lead assessments of proposed solutions and develop recommendations is required
· Experience of HealthCare solutions for engaging Doctors & Patients through digital channels is desired
